The lighter dumbbells I bought are great the 8kg ones have quite wide bar so it’s make more difficult for ladies with shorter fingers (like myself) to get a good grip for some exercises. But the neoprene coating it really good and recents slipping when your hands are sweating. So overall very good, unless your palms are on a smaller side :)
They fit perfectly into my ever expanding collection.

The rack works ok but the slots are too narrow meaning it can catch the side of your hand when removing or replacing the weights. Make it wider and it’s 4 or 5 stars as it does the job.

Great product, simple diy with all tools required provided. I used the top as a sheld to hold 1 kg weights then the first actual rack for 2kg onwards and the bottom, to store larger (8kg) weights. Really good value for money and recommend!

Feels a bit flimsy and the weight space near the top is quite tight making it hard to get weights on and off

Great quality dumbbells. The neoprene finish makes them easy to grip and comfortable to use. Not too big and clumsy, compact design. Would definitely recommend and purchase from Northern again.
Works exactly as advertised
I bought these dumbells as part of a set and the dumbells are actually great. Alone they'd probably get 5 stars. Unfortunately they were bought with an A frame stand which for reasons which probably make sense to Northern were sent out by a separate courier company (Evri) who managed to deliver them to the wrong house where they promptly disappeared. Two emails to Northern went completely unanswered and as they refuse to publish a phone number so that I can actually speak to someone I have now had to buy a stand elsewhere which I recommend anyone else wanting gym equipment does
